Germans are the world’s travel champions. They spend more on foreign travel than any other nation, namely more than 61bn euros per year. The tourism industry is thus an important economic factor in Germany providing about 2.9 million jobs.
The German Travel Association (DRV) is the leading lobby group of the German tourism sector. We primarily represent the interests of tour operators and travel agents, which generate annual sales of more than 20bn euros each.
